Mother of Driver to Receive Settlement from LA City after Death from Asthma Attack

When a Jorge Azucena, 26, died of an asthma attack while in police custody after being arrested for running a red light in 2013, he had told police he was having trouble breathing. The city of Los Angeles will be paying $1.35 million to Azucena’s mother after she sued the city. Azucena’s children are also suing.
